Long East Nashville resident Korby Lenker was born in Idaho on the Snake River Canyon, about a mile from Evel Knieval’s failed motorcycle jump of the 1970s. His smart, heartfelt, quirky songs have won several songwriting awards, including the prestigious Rocky Mountain Folks Festival song competition (past winners include Gregory, Alan Isakov and Deb Talan of the Weepies). Korby plays several instruments and his shows are as funny as they are moving. His first book, Medium Hero, was released in 2015 to warm reviews from such variegated sources as Tim O’Brien, Steve Wozniak, and Kirkus Reviews.
